You hear about how artists turn thier life around when they create a piece of purity, Well Morbid is a cartoon beyond a simple laugh. In late March of 2008, my long term depression finally caught up with me and I had an 'episode' For a brief moment in time I lost everything and I was really low. No one could consult me and I just wanted to shut everyone and everything out and instead of doing something drastic, I started drawing again.

The sketches I did were graphic in nature but from the top of it I had this little sketch which was just staring back at me and I decided to work more on it and it started to evolve into Morbid, well at least the early stages.
With the sketches I did, I took them into paint and started to clean them up and add colour and this is where Morbid was finally created. He looked a bit to bright at first so I toned all the colours down and as for the name well if you've seen the original artwork, then you'll understand.
After much thought, I have decided to go old skool with this project in the sense that I will be using the Rostrum Camera and animating with card, almost like Southpark use to do. It will be a long process but I think it will pay off.
Just a random cartoon design I came up with one day and then found out someone had already beaten me to the character design (Krinkles) but not the concept which is why I kept on creating more work for it.
This was simply sketches and artwork that I was working on. I did feel that it would make a good short series, I mean what young adolescent teenager doesn't want to watch a cartoon of little dummies dying in random ways?
A typical cop cartoon but with more sketchy character designs and excellent backgrounds. Story would of related to a cop with powers of the pendalum or P.O.P as I use to refer to. Each episode the character would be faced with crimes to solve which were all interlinked with each other and they were set in the past. present and future.
This was just a rough idea of what I wanted for the credits, it had a '24' appeal about it. This project probably won't ever lift off so it's archive material now.
